EHS Manager (Environment, Health & Safety) - Batam, Indonesia

Join China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) as an EHS Manager in Batam, Kepulauan Riau and lead the charge in ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment for one of the region’s most dynamic construction projects.

As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust EHS policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and providing leadership in emergency response planning. You will work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with international and local regulations, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with international and local regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Provide leadership in emergency response planning and crisis management.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and educate project teams on EHS best practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
• Manage EHS documentation and ensure adherence to legal and contractual requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety and sustainability within the project team.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the construction industry.
• Certification in EHS management, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of international and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate project teams.
• Proficient in using EHS management software, such as SAP or Oracle.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
